MERRILLVILLE, Ind.-The thrills and excitement of Live Pro boxing in Northwest Indiana start at Langel's Pizza 2833 Highway Ave, in Highland, IN one of the area's hottest businesses will host fighters on July 13th for the official weigh-ins for Octavius James/One In A Million Inc. "Independence" card, just one day later on July 14th at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza in Merrillville, IN.

The shows action-packed Main Event will feature, IN.B.A. State Middleweight Champion Jimmy "The Fighting Schoolteacher" Holmes (13-0-1, 7 KO's) facing, for the first time, Canadian Middleweight Champion Brooke Wellby (32-16-3, 10 KO's) at the weigh-ins. Wellby clearly has far more ring experience than Holmes, but the hometown hero will bring his legions of fans out to the event to support him.

With tickets starting at just $25, doors open at 7 p.m. and the action launches at 8 p.m. with the first bout. Tickets are available at the Star Plaza Box Office 219-769-6600 or through any Ticket Master 312-559-1212,866-438-7372 or www.ticketmaster.com

"We've always had great sports fans crowding in to enjoy our large screen TVs and our sports atmosphere," said Rodney Langel owner. "But One In A Million brings professional athletes, dedicated fans and a new level of excitement with the weigh-ins."

"Independence" will also feature another veteran fighter, Ruben "The Modern Day Warrior" Galvan (25-9-2, 9 KO's). Another fan favorite, Jermaine "Too Sweet" White (13-1, 6 KO's), fresh from a lightweight bout televised on Showtime, and Gary's own "Superman" Derrick Findley (4-1, 3 KO's), an up-and-coming middleweight, will also appear on the card.

Also, area fans will get another chance to watch Johnny "Kid One In A Million" Novak (17-1, 6 KO's) before he appears on an internationally televised bout, possibly with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., or former IBF Lightweight Champion Paul Spadafora later this year.
