Koba Gogoladze vs. Fred Neal Headlines Championship Fight Card Aug. 25th!

DOVER, Maryland - Promoter Art Pelullo/Banner Promotions will present a sensational championship fight card on Friday, August 25, 2006, in the Rollins Center Ballroom at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, located at 1131 North DuPont Highway. The main event and co-featured fight will be televised on Comcast's CN8 Network on a delayed basis.

In the main event, Koba "The Cobra" Gogoladze, 19-1 with seven knockouts, will make his first defense of the North American Boxing Organization junior lightweight title against Fred Neal, 17-3-3 with 12 knockouts, scheduled for 12 rounds.

Gogoladze, 33 years old, is a native of the Republic of Georgia who has been based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania since 2002. He is a former European amateur star. Koba represented his home country in the 1996 Olympics, and was a three-time Soviet Union amateur champion. He won the NABO title for the second time in February, and is currently ranked No. 3 by the World Boxing Organization.

Neal, who is 35, was also an amateur standout. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, now based in San Diego, California, he won the National PAL championship five times in his 240-fight amateur career. As a pro, he returned to the ring in February, 2006, after 1 1/2 years off and fought to an eight-round draw against contender Art Simonyan.

The co-featured fight is to be announced. A total of six bouts is scheduled to complete the card. All bouts are subject to change without notice.

Doors open at 8:00 p.m.; the first fight begins at 9:00 p.m.

Ticket prices: $35, $50, $70, $85, $95.
