August 18th Ballroom Brawl is on!

TAMPA BAY, Florida - One Punch Productions has announced that the next instalment of its popular “Ballroom Brawl!” professional boxing series will take place on Friday, August 18th, at the Tampa Westshore Doubletree Hotel. The main event will feature 2000 Olympian Dante “Inferno” Craig (17-4, 13 KO’s) in a 12 round fight for the NBA Intercontinental Middleweight Title.

Craig is coming down to middleweight from his last fight, in which he knocked out former World Champion Carl Daniels in the 10th round for the NBA Super Middleweight Title.

The evening’s co-feature will showcase the return to Tampa of undefeated super middleweight Lajuan Simon (14-0-2, 9 KO’s). Simon’s last trip to Tampa in February earned him a 4th round knockout of Tampa’s Alberto Albaladejo.

The loaded undercard has 9 additional bouts scheduled, featuring top Bay area talent including Pensacola heavyweight “Big” Gabe Brown (18-6-1, 12 KO’s), Oldsmar featherweight Carlos Manuel Rivera (7-2-1, 2 KO’s), Tampa jr. welterweight Marcus “Combo” Broadnax (3-1-1, 2 KO’s), undefeated Sarasota super middleweight Paul Holley (5-0, 4 KO’s), St. Pete heavyweight Jason Barnett (6-3, 3 KO’s), Sarasota welterweight Larian Jackson (2-0, 2 KO’s), cruiserweight Dione Craig (2-5), and a special attraction bout featuring New Port Richey jr. middleweight “Bazooka” Joe Linenfelser (2-0, 2 KO’s). “Bazooka” Joe celebrated his 18th birthday earlier this month, and is now able to fight in Florida. His 2 previous bouts were fought in states that allow fighters to turn pro at 17, rather than 18, as is the case in Florida.

Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the action starts at 7:30 PM. General Admission tickets for this event are $20, reserved seats are $35, and are available through ticketmaster. $75 ringside table seating is also available by contacting One Punch Productions at 813-503-8109, or visit www.onepunch.net.
