Margules: Abraham delaying the Inevitable with Pullout vs. Miranda

HOLLYWOOD, FL, August 22 – Team Pantera, ready to celebrate the crowning of a new middleweight king, Edison Miranda, Saturday at the EWE-Arena in Oldenburg, Germany, will have to wait just a little while longer, as it was announced that IBF Middleweight Champion Arthur Abraham has withdrawn from this weekend’s bout, citing illness.

“I’m disappointed, but I will take my disappointment out on Abraham when he’s well enough to step into the ring with me,” said Miranda, 26-0 with 23 KOs. “I know in my heart that he has cold feet and I won’t be denied of this World Championship. This is my time to shine!”

“This is just prolonging the inevitable,” said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Seminole Warriors Boxing, Miranda’s promotional company. “Edison was ready to go for this fight, and he’ll be ready to go for whatever date that the fight is rescheduled on. I anticipate that the fight will be rescheduled for late September and he will return home with Abraham’s world title belt.”
