CHICAGO – It looks like “Da Bomb” is set to go off in Madison Square Garden.

Popular Windy City super middleweight prospect Donovan “Da Bomb” George (9-0-1, 7 KO’s), is slated to fight on the undercard of the John Duddy-Yory Boy Campas bout on September 29th.

Speaking from ringside at an 8 count fight card at the Aragon Ballroom Friday night, he shared a few thoughts with the Cyber Boxing Zone.

JUAN AYLLON: Hey Donovan, what’s going on right now?

DONOVAN GEORGE: I just started getting back in training. I’ve got a big date September 29th [at] Madison Square Garden on the undercard of John Duddy and Yory Boy. I’m big time pumped up about it, ready to explode in New York! I can’t wait.

JA: Do you know whom you’ll be fighting?

DG: There’s a few names out there. There’s this one guy who’s 17 and 2 that we’re trying to get approved. I am not sure. You know, we’re willing to take just about anyone they bring our way. Whoever my managers and my father approves, we’ll go in there and fight. That’s not a problem. The fight’s the easy part. The training’s the hard part.

JA: Are there any things that you are really focusing in on right now?

DG: A lot of conditioning—a lot of sprints, a lot of running, a lot of water work. We’re adding new stuff, and weights, and different elements into our training, just to make me a more rounded fighter.

JA: How far are you running these days?

DG: About five miles, six days a week. And I add sprints every mile, three days a week. Then, I do stairs in the stadium. I mean, I do it all. I mean, I workout three times a day.

JA: Who are you sparring right now?

DG: Just the regular Windy City crew right now. Every guy who’s there. I’m trying to get some work with your boy, “Weezel” [David Estrada]. I just talked to him the other day. He’s going to come around. He’s always good work.

JA: Anything else you’d like to say to the readers?

DG: I appreciate the continued support. My fan base is growing daily and it’s amazing. I’m just gonna follow my dream, and do the best I can, take it as far as I can.

I appreciate the Cyber Boxing Zone and all your support!
