LOS ANGELES, December 17, 1970 - Rodolfo "El Gato" Gonzalez, who went on to win the WBC Lightweight Title in 1972, is shown here knocking down Antonio "Kid Pambelé" Cervantes at the Olympic Auditorium. Cervantes won the WBA Light Welterweight Title in December of 1971.
Gonzalez lost this bout by TKO in the eighth round of a 10 round fight.
