Michel Rosales Takes on Jesus Soto Karass Oct. 20th in Cicero!


CHICAGO, September 25, 2006 - Mexican welterweights Michel Rosales, 11-0 (10 KO's) of San Luis Potosi , Mexico and Jesus Soto Karass, 14-3-2 (11 KO's) of Los Mochis, Mexico will headline OCTOBER FURY, the next installment of world class professional boxing presented by Chicago's 8 Count Productions, which will take place on Friday, October 20th at Cicero Stadium.

The action packed eight bout OCTOBER FURY card is presented by Dominic Pesoli's 8 Count Productions and Bob Arum's Top Rank Incorporated, along with Miller Lite and TCF Bank.

Cicero Stadium is located at 1909 S. Laramie, just minutes from the Eisenhower and Stevenson Expressways. Doors for this event will open at 5:30pm with the first bell at 6:30pm. Tickets, starting at $30, are on sale in advance by calling 312-226-5800.

Undefeated prospect Michel Rosales made his American debut in his last fight on April 28, 2006 with an eight round unanimous decision win over Fernando Mena in Port Hueneme , California , a fight which was broadcast internationally on SOLO BOXEO de Miller.

The 23 year old Jesus Soto Karass is coming off a 9th round stoppage over former world champion Vince Phillips on June 2, 2006 in Tucson , Arizona. O n May 6, 2005 he battled former world title challenger Manuel "Shotgun" Gomez to a ten round draw at the Fort McDowell Casino in Fountain Hills , Arizona. Both of these bouts were broadcast on SOLO BOXEO de Miller.

Said Dominic Pesoli, "This is a terrific matchup, both of these guys have a lot a stake. They're both heavy handed fighters who should for a make for a very exciting main event. I've seen them both battle this year on SOLO BOXEO and both of their wins were outstanding fights."

The co-main event will feature undefeated featherweight prospect Jason "The American Boy" Litzau, 19-0 with seventeen knockouts, of St. Paul Minnesota.

Also returning to the 8 Count Productions' ring is Chicagoland favorite, middleweight "MACHO" Miguel Hernandez, 19-5 (9 KO's).

Andrzej Fonfara vs. Johnny Higgins, welterweights, four rounds

The Master of Ceremonies for this event will be the internationally recognized voice of Latino boxing, Lupe Contreras.
