Flyweight Champ Parra Undergoes Surgery

Caracas, Venezuela. Lorenzo "Lencho" Parra, 27-0, WBA Lightweight Champion, left the hospital last night after undergoing what was described as successful knee sugery.

Parra blew out his his knee while training for a scheduled October 14 defense against Panama's Roberto Vasquez. That defense is on hold while Parra undergoes at least three months of rehabilitation.
