Team Palle will also stage shows November 24 and December 8 or 15. 49-year old Italian ex-champ Gianfranco Rosi has been discharged from the hospital where he´s been since being knocked out by Robert Roselia Friday night in San Marino in a IBF I/C 160 lb titlefight. Rosi is said to be making full recovery despite suffering a small haemorrage on the brain. However, the serious allegations against Roselia and his handlers for using illegal substances remains. Rosi is said to have complained about impaired vision already in the second round and have some kind of injury around the eyes. Rosi´s handlers have reported the matter to the police, who have taken Roselia´g gloves and other equipment for investigation and the Frenchman is not allowed to leavy Italy while the investigation goes on. Elite Box Promotion returns after a brief break October 28 with a show in Furstenwalde. On top is Latvian heavy Edgar Kalnars, who square off against faded Hungarian veteran Zoltan Beres. The big ticket seller is welterweight Nick Klappert. Cruiser Serdar Sahin faces Dennis Rosendahl in an all-Berlin showdown in the chief support to Marco Schulze´s IBF I/C 154 lb titlefight November 11 in Oranienburg. Former WBC cruiser champ Juan Carlos Gomez has signed with Arena Box Promotion, headed by Ahmet Oener, in Hamburg. Gomez, who like Oener fought most of his career for Universum, is now living in Los Angeles. He has been under supension in Germany for a year after testing positive for cocaine after beating Oliver McCall last year but will make his comeback on the big One-Night-Superfigh ter-Tournament December 1 in Melbourne. The 33-year old Gomez, now a heavyweight, is 39-1. Klaus Peter Kohl, who heads Universum, have been named European Promoter of the Year by the WBO while his son-in-law Dietmar Poszwa, CEO for Spotlight Boxing, have been named WBO I/C Promoter of the Year. Matchmaker Hedi Taouab got a special award from the WBO: Boxing Globetrotter of the Year 2006. Portugese promoter Joao Pina cross the border to Spain and stage a show October 27 in Lepe with lightweight Antonio "Bento Algarvio" Bento on top of a pro/am show. Bento takes on Venezuelan Edinson Torres. The EBU has set November 14 as deadline for purse offers for its heavyweight champ Vladimir Virchis´ mandatory defence against Sinan Samil Sam. Meanwhile, Sam defends the WBC Int´l title November 10 in Hamburg against Bob Mirovic and could also be taking part in the Superfighter tournament in Australia December 1. Danish feather Spend Abazi is now mandatory challenger for EU champ Domenico Urbano. The deadline for purse offers is November 14. Abazi, 35-1, have eased back to action during 2006 after a layoff due to injuries. German heavy Timo Hoffmann is now trained by Uwe Schuster. Hoffmann faces stablemate Cengiz Koc November 4 in Muhlheim an der Ruhr in a crossroads fight. Big Timo was for his last few fights trained by Manfred Wolke.
