January 18, 2007 -- PROMOTER Art Pelullo said today, "Contrary to a report on Fightnews.com today, Acelino Freitas is not fighting David Diaz on April 28 or any other date.
"I have negotiated a deal with Joel Casamayor's promoter, Luis De Cubas, for Freitas to fight Casamayor in his next fight for the WBC and WBO lightweight championship of the world."
