Reggie Davis Pulls Win Out of Fire
The Lucky Eagle Casino,Rochester, WA Saturday February 10, 2007 (Press Release) Middleweight, Scheduled 10 Rounds Joseph Onyongo: Trenton , NJ ; (12-13) (11 K0) 153 lbs vs. Reggie Davis: Portland , OR (17-3) (8 KO) 154 lbs. Reggie Davis defeated Joseph Onyongo in a ten round unanimous decision. Reggie Davis dominated the fight with a sharp jab in the early rounds. Onyongo made things interesting down the stretch when Davis would step inside and go toe-to-toe with him. Onyongo seemed to slowly grind Davis down, inflicting most of his damage in the last three rounds. Davis won a highly contested fight. The judges scored the fight 97-96, 96-93, and 95-94.
Lightweight, Scheduled 8 Rounds Eloy Perez: Rochester , WA (7-0-1) (1 KO) 132 lbs vs. Juan Carlos Martinez: Mexico (11-5) (4K0) 133 lbs. Eloy Perez defeated Juan Carlos Martinez in a four round unanimous decision. Martinez pressured Perez with powerful precision punching. Perez countered with electric speed and relentless energy. In the end Perez threw more punches, Martinez landed more quality blows, and both fighters shared an unyielding desire to win fight. Perez edges out his opponent in front of his home town crowd. The judges scored the fight 78-74, 76-75, and 76-75.
Middleweight, Scheduled 6 Rounds Miguel Ruiz: Reno , NV (25-18-2) (7KO) 154 lbs vs. Dewey Welliver: Snoqualmie , WA (17-17-1) (6KO) 154 lbs.Dewey Welliver defeated Miguel Ruiz by KO in 1:42 of the third round. Welliver dictated the tempo of fight from the opening bell. He managed to keep Ruiz off balance with a rapid jab, before swiftly snapping off a wicked right cross rendering his opponent unconscious. Light heavyweight, Scheduled 4 Rounds Lyle Johnson: Clarkston , WA (2-0) 170 lbs vs. Todd Kuhnhausen: Vancouver , WA (0-3) 172 lbs. Lyle Johnson defeated Todd Kuhnhausen in a four round unanimous decision. Johnson dominated the fight. He eventually managed to open a large cut under Kuhnhausen left eye in the third round. The judges scored the fight 39-37, 40-36, and 39-37 in Johnson’s favor.
Heavyweight, Scheduled 4 Rounds Roland Graham: Klamath Falls , OR (1-0-1) (1 KO) 277 lbs vs. Ron Simmons: Clarkston , WA (0-1) 203 lbs. Roland Graham defeated Ron Simmons by KO in 1:29 of the first round. Graham absolutely flattened Simmons’ with one punch. Graham’s mighty haymaker landed with such force, Simmons’ his eyes instantly rolled to the back of his head, his hands fell straight to his sides, and he stiffly fell forward crashing head first into the unforgiving floor at the center of the ring.
Heavyweight, Scheduled 4 Rounds Vili Bloomfield: Everett , WA (7-0) (4 KO) 227 lbs vs. Chris Brown: Las Vegas , NV (12-11) (11 KO) 201 lbs. Vili Bloomfield defeated Chris Brown by TKO in 3:00 of the second round. Calm and collected, Bloomfield battered Brown’s skull for the better part of the fight. At the end of the second round, in desperation Brown attempted to land a powerful body shot moments before the bell sounded. Brown’s body shot landed awkwardly, and his chiseled right arm instantaneously went limp as he struck Bloomfield ’s midsection. The ring physician rushed to Brown’s corner and immediately ruled him unable to return to the ring. Bloomfield was declared the winner by TKO.
Middleweight, Scheduled 4 Rounds Phillip Moore: White Fish, MT (1-0) 151 lbs vs. William Marshall: Portland , OR (0-1) 154 lbs.Phillip Moore defeated William Marshall in a four round unanimous decision. Marshall’s hands grew heavy in the third round, and he was crushed Moore ’s vicious right hook. Barely beating his 10 count, Marshall managed to pull himself off the canvas and stagger to his corner to continue the fight. Marshall fought on valiantly, but lost the fight by unanimous decision. The judges scored the fight 39-36, 39-36, and 39-37 in Moore ’s favor.
