MERRILLVILLE, Ind., March 1, 2007 -- Former Playboy cover girl and current IFBA Lightweight Champion Mia “The Knock Out” Rosales-St. John headlines “Fist of Fury” on April 20th at Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, Indiana. Conveniently located from downtown Chicago, simply take the Skyway to I-65 and exit at US 30. Presented by Octavius James’ One In A Million Inc., St. John will be in Chicago next Wednesday, March 7th to promote the event.

“I’m thrilled to be working with Octavius James,” Mia said. “One In A Million Inc is one the best promotional companies out there and I’ve always wanted to fight in Chicagoland.”

Since making her professional debut nearly 10 years ago, Mia, a pioneer of women’s boxing and a certain Hall of Famer, has amassed a record of 43-8-2 with 18 KOs and two world titles. She has fought on some of the highest profile boxing cards headlined by legends including Oscar De La Hoya (5 times), Julio Cesar Chavez, Arturo Gatti, Johnny Tapia, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Roy Jones Jr.

In the November 1999 issue of Playboy magazine, Mia appeared on the cover along with an eleven page boxing themed celebrity pictorial. She has appeared on Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien, Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, The O’Reilly Factor, The ESPYs and many others.

The daughter of a Mexican immigrant single mother, Mia founded the El Saber Es Poder Foundation which seeks to empower Latinos by providing schools with better supplies, equipment and developmental programs to help further education.

Mia’s opponent will be announced shortly. In addition, 20-year-old fan favorite “Merciless” Mary McGee (8-0, 4 KOs) of Gary will fight in the co-main event. The remainder of the entire card will be announced soon.

Doors open at 7 p.m. The first bout is at 8 p.m.
