Euro-Beat Update: Mock, Damgaard & Zam Zam Boxing March 24th!

PALM Promotions have announced the almost complete undercard program to Kessler vs Andrade March 24 in Copenhagen. The show opener, Lolenga Mock´s defence of the EU 168 lb title against Belgian Djamel Selini, is also the chief support. Opponent for Kessler´s chief sparring, ex-world title challenger Sakio Bika, have yet to be announced. Comebacking welter Thomas Damgaard takes on Belgian Jean Louis Bryla, who comes in fresh off an upset win over Frenchman Mustapha Bouzid. Highly ranked jr middle Reda Zam Zam face Venezuelan Carlos Donquiz. Heavyweight Claus Bertino is in against Portugese Umberto Evora.
EMA Telstar, a very big, if not the biggest, event and concert promoter in Sweden and Scandinavia will enter professional boxing and have their show first planned for September 21 in Stockholm. They have for now four shows planned for 07-08. Handling boxing affairs is Patrick Wheeler, who during the 90´s were involved in Star Fights that had the then up an coming Paolo Roberto under their wings. Wheeler have since remained in boxing and promoted a number of successful amateur shows.
WBA female fly champ, Susianna "Killer Queen" Kentikian defends the title against Uruguyan Maria Jose Nunez Anchorena March 30 in Cologne in the second of Spotlight Boxing´s promotion at the Fight Night Arena, televised by Pro Sieben. Newly crowned WBO I/C middleweight ruler Sebastian Zbik face Wilson Rafael Sosa Pintos in a scheduled eight-rounder. At heavyweight Gbenga Oloukun square off against dangerous Russian Alexander Varakin. Jr light Vitali Tajbert and hardpunching heavy Sebastian Kober make up the rest of the show.
Yuri Romanov´s defence of the EBU 135 lb title against Bulgarian Tontcho Tontchev will now go ahead April 28 in Minsk, Belorussia.
