Press Release - Caballero Looks For Unification
“I’ve beaten champions, contenders, and prospects – whoever was put in front of me,” said Caballero (26-2, 18 KOs). “Now I want to unify this title to prove who the best super bantamweight in the world is.”
The 5-11 southpaw from Colon, Panama, defeated tough Mexican contender Ricardo Castillo in nine rounds on March 16 in Hollywood, Florida. He also holds a lopsided win over current WBO Super Bantamweight Champion, Daniel Ponce De Leon, another Mexico native who has been reluctant to fight his conqueror a second time. So ‘Pelenchin’s sights are set on recently crowned WBC Champion Rafael Marquez. “I congratulate Marquez on his victory over Israel Vazquez, who is a true champion in this sport,” said Caballero. “Now we’ll see if Marquez can live up to that title by fighting me. He made a lot of noise about me before; let’s see is he still willing to back up his words? He has seen what I’ve done to his countrymen, De Leon and Castillo – now’s his chance, let’s see if he has the guts to try to get some revenge. I doubt it!” For more information on Seminole Warrior’s Boxing, please visit our website at www.warriorsboxing.com.
