CHICAGO -- Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions is preparing for an outstanding month of April with three events featuring world class professional boxing including back to back Friday nights, April 13th and 20th, at Cicero Stadium.

Tickets for all shows can be obtained by calling the 8 Count Productions office at 312-226-5800.

Said Pesoli, “It’s great to be this busy, it truly validates that our hard work at putting on terrific events with great fights and huge crowds has paid off. The fans in Chicago and this month in Peoria have really spoken up. The prospects on these shows have great opportunities to become tomorrow’s world champions.”

“Our first show is this Saturday night, April 7th at the PAR A DICE Hotel and Casino in East Peoria . We’re very happy to return there with another great event. The main event has our undefeated lightweight Mike Gonzalez facing Jaime Alvarado and the co-main has undefeated middleweight Michael Walker battling Dave Saunders.

The card also includes female prospect Brooke Dierdorff amongst the three other fights. Additionally, there's three amateur bouts on the card.”

“On Friday, April 13th we’re back at Cicero Stadium with Hector Velazquez vs. Francisco Lorenzo in the main event and Brandon Rios vs. Carlos Madrid in the co-main. All four of these fighters have been in terrific battles at our past events and we’re very happy to have them back. We’ve also got Donovan George and Rudy Cisneros featured on the card along with newcomers Ivan Popoca and Andrzej Fonfara.”

“Then on Friday, April 20th we’ve got Abner Mares and Jonathan Oquendo coming back to Chicago along with MACHO Miguel Hernandez returning. Also on that card is a light heavyweight title fight that was just finalized between Mike Nevitt and Otis Griffin, the winner of the FOX-TV series, The Next Great Champ.”

Said Pesoli, “Last year we promoted twenty terrific events, in 2007 we’re on a pace to do even more”

Also on April 20th, Chicago ’s most popular and toughest women’s fighter, Rita Figueroa, will put her undefeated record on the line as she faces female boxing superstar Mia St. John at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, Indiana .

8 Count Productions was started by Dominic Pesoli in 1997 and has consistently presented the highest quality professional boxing events in Chicagoland. In 2003, Pesoli along with former featherweight contender Mike Garcia opened JABB Boxing Gym, a 6,000 square foot venue dedicated to the finest Chicagoland boxers of all talent levels.
