Eric Boose came alive and stunned Vili Bloomfield midway through round two to take charge of what appeared to be even going for both fighters. Boose came out and started connecting every right and dominated Bloomfield, who looked tired and kept dropping his hands, until 2:14 minutes into round three when the fight was stopped. Boose is the new Heavyweight Champion in the Northwest Boxing Association with a 11-1-1 record. On the 6 bout Undercard: Super Middleweight, Scheduled 4 Rounds Louis Sargent: Vancouver, BC (6-10) (1 KO) 167 lbs vs. Manny Castillo: Los Angeles , CA (13-14-2) (5K0) 172 lbs. Louis Sargent agreed to allow the bout even though Manny Castillo was 4 pounds over the 168 weight limit. Castillo seemed to want to show off with in your face style, but rarely did any damage to Sargent who won a Majority Decision. The scoring was 39-37, 40-36, 38-38, which was indicative of the sometimes bizarre scoring by the judges tonight. Middleweight, Scheduled 4 Rounds Cedrick Armstrong: Portland , OR (4-0) (1KO) 156 lbs vs. Ben Aragon: Billings , MT (4-5-1) (4KO) 153 lbs. In what appeared to be an extremely even bout, Cedric Armstrong won a decision over Ben Aragon by scores of 38-38, 39-37, 40-36. Super Middleweight, Scheduled 4 Rounds David Mendez: Gresham , OR (1-2) (1 KO) 163 lbs vs. Adrian Hermann: Everett , WA (1-1) (1 KO) 165 lbs. Adrian Hermann wasted no time in dropping David Mendez at :50 seconds in the first round TKO. Hermann was also voted co-winner of the Fan Favorite Fighter contest. Cruiserweight, Scheduled 4 Rounds Randy Rogers: Klamath, OR (1-1) (1 KO) 190 lbs vs. Ron Simmons: Lewiston , ID (1-1) 188 lbs.In the most exciting bout of the night Ron Simmons (co-winner of Fan Favorite Fighter contest) was the aggressor and, while he did not knockout Randy Rogers, the fight left little doubt who won. Again the judges surprised the crowd by scoring a split decision 37-39, 39-37, 39-37 for Simmons, who seemed to clearly win the bout. Super Middleweight, Scheduled 4 Rounds Sam Haynes: Portland , OR (4-1) (3 KO) 163 lbs vs. Terrance Crow: Kalispel , MT (0-4) 157 lbs.Sam Haynes was edging out Terrance Crow for two rounds , then, in round three pounded Crow until the Knockout came :50 seconds into the round. Light Heavyweight, Scheduled 4 Rounds Wayne Tyler (4-8) (2 KO) 169 lbs vs. Lyle Johnson: Clarkston , WA (3-0) (1 KO) 169 lbs.Wayne Tyler started fast only to have Lyle Johnson explode and floor Tyler at 2:27 in a round one TKO.
