Arena Box Promotion has announced that Cuban amateur stars Guillermo Rigondeaux and Erislandy Lara have joined what is arguably the fastest growing stable in Europe. Both have signed five year contracts.

The two disappeared from a Cuban boxing team in Rio de Janeiro recently and there have been wide speculation as to what have happend to them.

The 26-year old Rigondeaux won Olympic Gold at bantam in 2000 and 2004 and world titles in 2001 and 2005. His amateur record is 243-4.

The 24-year Lara "only" world title at welter and will campaign at middle in the pros.

Neither are in Germany at the moment but will arrive once all paperwork is done which is expected to be done inside the next four weeks.

Rigondeaux and Lara joins Juan Carlos Gomez, Odlanier Solis, Yuriorkis Gamboa and Yan Barthelemy in Arena Box Promotion. Another Cuban, Pedro Carrion, is with Wiking Box Team in Berlin.
