Cruiserweight prospect, Aaron Williams (14-0-1, 10 KO’s) needed just 1:15 to demolish Jeff Brownfield, Friday night, at the Twin Rivers Casino in Lincoln, RI.

”I did what I had to do,” said Williams after the bout. “I’ll be back in the gym next week and get ready for the next fight.”

Williams was originally scheduled to meet Derrick Brown. Brown dropped a close, but, unanimous decision to Matt Godfrey in the main event for Godfrey’s NABF Cruiserweight belt.

“I watched the fight (Godfrey/Brown) with Eddie Muhammad and Aaron,” said Williams’ co-manager Pat Doljanin. “We all agreed that Aaron and Derrick should meet by years’ end.”

The 21 year old Williams was a 9-time national amateur champion. The Las Vegas resident is trained by former WBA Light Heavyweight Champion Eddie Mustafa Muhammad. He is promoted by Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment and Sports.
