Chicago's Montel Chevy Hosts Thursday's 'Solo Boxeo' Weigh-In

CHICAGO - In advance of Friday night’s SOLO BOXEO/PRIDE world class professional boxing event, Chicago’s Montell Chevrolet, amongst the leading auto dealerships in the Chicagoland area, will host the weigh-in at 7pm on Thursday night, September 13th.

Montell Chevrolet is located at 4530 S. Archer on the southwest side of Chicago, just minutes south of the Stevenson Expressway by way of the Kedzie Ave. exit.

Said promoter Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions, “We’re very happy to work with Montell Chevy on this occasion. I invite all of our fans to stop by, meet the fighters and check out the cars at the dealership.”

The SOLO BOXEO/PRIDE event at Chicago ’s Congress Theater celebrates Mexican Independence Day and features terrific Mexican vs. Puerto Rican battles in both of the televised main and co main event bouts.

In the main event, SOLO BOXEO staple -weight:bold;">Fernando Trejo, 29-12 (18KO’s) of Mexico City faces off against Juan Ramon Cruz, 15-3-1 (11KO’s) of San Juan, Puerto Rico in a ten round lightweight battle.

The co-main event features Chicago based fighters as Francisco Rodriguez, 9-1 (6KO’s) of Guadalajara, Mexico squares off against Puerto Rican Ivan Rodriguez, 8-3-1 (3KO’s) in an eight round super bantamweight bout for the Illinois State Title.

The full fight card features:

Fernando Trejo vs. Juan Ramon Cruz, ten rounds, lightweights

Francisco Rodriguez vs. Ivan Rodriguez, eight rounds, super bantamweights

Orlando Salido vs. Marty Robbins, eight rounds, super featherweights

Leo Martinez vs. Jorge Lara, six rounds, lightweights

Andrzej Fonfara vs. Luis Hodge, six rounds, junior middleweights

Eric Estrada vs. Selso Bosquez, four rounds, super bantamweights

“PRIDE” is presented by Chicago ’s 8 Count Productions and Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc. along with TCF Bank, TECATE Beer and Aero Mexico. The SOLO BOXEO broadcast will be viewed in more than 42 US markets and 70 foreign countries.
