Press Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., October 5, 2007 - Local fight fans don’t want to miss the October 19th return of one of the area’s most popular and exciting fighters, Frankie “Panchito” Zepeda (16-5, 9 KOs), on the Circle City Rumble card in the Hall of champions at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in Indianapolis. The 29-year-old Shelbyville resident will face an opponent to be announced in a light welterweight bout. In addition, fight fans don’t want to miss the opportunity to witness a women’s championship bout when, in the main event, “Merciless” Mary McGee (11-0, 6 KOs) faces Tawnyah Freeman (8-4, 3 KOs) for the NABC women’s lightweight title.

Promoted by Octavius James’ One In A Million Inc., The Circle City Rumble will feature seven professional bouts including 2-time Chicago Golden Gloves women’s bantamweight champion Evette Collazo (1-0, 1 KO), welterweight Ed Ochoa (1-0, 1 KO) and another Indy fight fan favorite “Downtown” Louis Brown (15-3, 10 KOs), in separate bouts.

“Frankie is a great addition to what was already a tremendously competitive card,” said Octavius James. “Frankie always has a lot of support from the Hispanic community. We know those fans are the most educated and loyal fans of boxing. I think they’ll be impressed with our new fighters, Evette Colazzo and Ed Ochoa, as well.”

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, One In A Million will be making a donation to Komen’s PassionatelyPink.com campaign. “For every woman diagnosed with breast cancer, the effect is felt by a husband, father, brother or son. After the Rumble, One In A Million will be making a donation to Komen’s Passionately Pink campaign. I urge every fan to go to PassionatelyPink.com and make a donation of their own.”

A native of Chicago’s southeast side, Evette Collazo only had a few years of childhood. When she was just 5-years-old, her mother died. Five years later, her father was disabled in an accident leaving 10-year-old Evette as his main caretaker.

"After my mother died and my dad got sick, I had to grow up fast," Collazo said. "My sister is a mother of three, so I've been my father's main care taker most of my life. It's been tough, but that's what family does. Now I'm going for my dream of winning a professional world title."

Now 20-years-old and a 2-time Chicago Golden Gloves champion, Collazo returns to the ring for her second professional bout at featherweight after scoring a spectacular stoppage in her pro debut.

The Adam’s Mark Hotel is conveniently located at 2544 Executive Drive in Indianapolis. Doors open at 7 p.m. The first bout is at 8 p.m. Tickets, priced at $100 VIP, $75 VIP ringside, $50 ringside and $25 general admission, are available from www.TicketMaster.com, any Ticket Master location or by calling 317-239-5151 or 866-438-7372.
