Hot Cruiser Prospect Aaron Williams Demolishes Carrol in 1st Round

Cruiserweight prospect, Aaron Williams (15-0, 11 KO’s), need just 2:18 to dispatch Ryan Carrol (6-1, 4KO’s) Saturday night in Cleveland.
Williams dropped Carrol with a right to the chin, mid-way through the round. Carrol beat the count only to be dropped again. This time, a vicious Williams’ left hook to the body sent Carrol down for the final time.
“I was a little anxious after the first knockdown,” said Williams. “I heard Eddie (trainer, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad) tell me to relax and keep him at the end of my jab. I saw the opening for the hook and let it go.”
Team Williams is anticipating a return to the ring in November on a major card. “Our promoter, Jimmy Burchfield (Classic Entertainment & Sports) is working on something big,” said Williams co-manager, Patrick Doljanin.”
“Hopefully, it works-out and we can look at meeting another young, undefeated Cruiserweight next. Alfredo Escalera couldn’t man-up in July, refusing to fight Aaron and I expect him to keep running. Guys like Shawn Hawk or Derrick Brown are a couple of fighters we’re looking at,” concluded Doljanin.
Team Williams would like to thank Ronald Johnson and American Dream Promotions. Johnson (10-1, 3 KO’s) picked-up the WBF Light Heavyweight strap with a unanimous decision over William Gill in the main event. The night’s action will be rebroadcast by Fox Sports Cleveland.
The 21 year old Williams is trained by former WBA Light Heavyweight champion, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad. His conditioning coach is highly regarded Axel Murillo. Murillo is also the conditioning coach of current WBC Light Heavyweight champion Chad Dawson.
