Chicago's '8 Count' Kicks Off Fall Blitz This Friday Night!

Press Release

Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions kicks off an outstanding fall season of world class professional boxing this Friday night, October 19th at Cicero Stadium with BAD BLOOD, an action packed evening headlined by a terrific featherweight battle between Chicago fan favorite Jaime “SUPERFLY” Sandoval and tough Mexican veteran Juan Carlos “EL PEZ” Martinez.

BAD BLOOD is presented along with TCF Bank, Miller Beer and AeroMexico. Cicero Stadium is located at 1909 S. Laramie, just minutes from the Eisenhower and Stevenson Expressways. Doors for this event will open at 7:00pm with the first bell at 8:00pm. Tickets are available in advance by calling 312-226-5800.

Said Pesoli of the upcoming fall season of outstanding events, “We’ve got three great shows lined up in the next few weeks and it kicks off this Friday night at Cicero Stadium with BAD BLOOD. Sandoval and Martinez are both terrific young fighters and we’ve got a great undercard. Then we’re back on October 26th and November 16th, both at Cicero Stadium.

“We’ve also made a commitment to bring much more of a social event to our shows much as we did at the Diaz/Morales event in August at the Allstate Arena with terrific music all night long and the introduction of the 8 Count dancers.”

8 Count Productions was started by Dominic Pesoli in 1997 and has consistently presented the highest quality professional boxing events in Chicagoland. In 2003, Pesoli along with former featherweight contender Mike Garcia opened JABB Boxing Gym, a 6,000 square foot venue dedicated to the finest Chicagoland boxers of all talent levels.
