World Boxing Council President Jose Sulaiman visited Chendu, China, to confirm the city as the site of the 46th annual WBC convention in 2008. General Kovid Bhakdibuhmi and Patrick Cusick from the Asian Boxing Council joined president Sulaiman in a memorable three day visit to China.

The WBC is extremely excited to come to China next year for its annual convention just a few months after the 2008 Olympics, which will be the launching of a new era in boxing.

Heavyweight prospect Jiang “The Riverman” visited Dr. Sulaiman. Jiang is 26 years of age, 2 meters, 14cm tall (7 feet), and weighs 151 kg (332 pounds).

A visit to the Chendu National Panda Park was one of the highlights of the visit, and the rare opportunity to sit and hug a Panda bear was one of its unforgettable moments.
