Final Photos Posted on Walker, Findley, Holmes & OIM Crew Fights in Merrillville, Indiana!

Thomas (left) and Ochoa talk after their thrilling bout

MERILLVILLE, Ind.--The boxing ring at the Radisson Star Plaza was disassembled and stowed away long ago, and now it's a week late and a dollar short, but what the heck! They're up. Finally.

My appologies for the delay, especially to all the Indiana fight fans who view this site. My bout with this head cold ranks up there with Ochoa-Thomas--which, if you didn't see it, you missed an exciting bout (hint: You can see photos and the account of the fight in my report)!

I also must appologize for the quality of some of the photos. With the stock lens I was using and the lighting, I had a difficult time rifling through the myriad of photos I snapped (most appeared in varioius shades of black!), and manipulating them in my Microsoft Picture It! software to make them somewhat presentable.

You'll notice that the after-fight photos are brighter than the actual fight photos. That's because I generally shoot fight action shots without the flash unit. This is out of consideration for the fighters, as well as other photographers, who generally also shoot without a flash. With the primary lighting posted on the four ring posts in the Star Plaza, it was definitely pretty dark in there for shooting without a flash!

I'm planning on acquiring a brighter lens shortly to help alleviate this problem. However, I won't be shelling out $3,000 like professional photographers John Booz and Tom Barnes do for their professional lenses. You've got to be kidding me!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the results.

Here, then, is the link to the final photos and report:
