Commenting on this honor, Hanley said, "I was awarded an honorary board membership plaque for research work I conducted for the hall. And man, I gotta tell ya, this was a thrill when I heard my name and presented the plaque by one of my boxing idols, former welterweight contender Armand. This was a total honor."
