Majority draws may produce a 'River City Slugfest II' come May

When Danny Thomas learned his heavyweight fight with Cullen Rogers was being bumped up from four to six rounds Friday night, he decided to pace himself rather than go all-out from the opening bell.

At 46, his strategy was to be expected, but Thomas said he had another motive. As the hometown favorite, he felt he owed the sellout crowd of 530 inside the Tropical Pavillion at the Holiday Inn a good show.
