PHOENIX, Ariz., April 10, 2008--Undefeated and world ranked cruiserweight BJ Flores travels to New Jersey Saturday, April 12th, where he will participate with members of the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants and the New York Jets football teams at the 2008 Sports Challenge benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Later in the day, he heads to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City , New Jersey where he will be ringside to support former Main Events promoted teammate Kermit Cintron as he defends his IBF welterweight world title against Antonio Margarito broadcast live on HBO.

“I’m honored to help out the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in New Jersey. This is a charity that is very close to me” said the all around athlete Flores. The 2008 Sports Challenge is a mini-Olympic competition in which ten person teams compete against each other in a series of fun, athletic events including the Team Jump Rope, Football Throw, Obstacle Course, Relay Race, Tug of War and Putting Contest.

Just off his in-studio appearance on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights on Friday, April 4th, where he spoke on a number of topics in the boxing world, Flores, who rarely misses a big fight in Las Vegas or Atlantic City, spoke on the Atlantic City card, “Kermit’s been a friend of mine for years and I’m glad to show my support for him in this big rematch against Margarito. I know how important this fight is to him. Throw in the opportunity to see Miguel Cotto, one of the best fighters in the world in the main event against Alphonso Gomez and it’s a great doubleheader to attend.”

Also last Saturday night, April 5th, Flores and his wife Stephanie walked the red carpet at the Muhammad Ali Celebrity Fight Night event, an annual star studded charity event to raise money in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. The evening festivities were held in at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona.

Flores, 21-0-1 (13KO’s) is coming off the most significant win of his career, a twelve round unanimous decision win over Darnell Wilson on February 8, 2008, which was broadcast on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights.

Flores is currently world ranked #2 by the IBF, #7 by the WBO, #11 by the WBA and #10 by ESPN.
