HOLLYWOOD, FL, April 18 – Eager to move a step closer to regaining his world title, former undisputed cruiserweight champion of the world O’Neil Bell has traveled to Katowice, Poland, to take on former light heavyweight titlist Tomasz Adamek in a 12 round title elimination bout that is destined to produce fireworks.

But ‘The Supernova’ has a few tricks up his sleeve for Adamek (33-1, 22 KOs), who is making just his third appearance at cruiserweight.

“O’Neil has had a great training camp and he told me that he is going to send Adamek back to the light heavyweight division on Saturday,” said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Seminole Warriors Boxing Promotions. “He is focused, in great shape, and more determined than ever to get his title back.”

Bell (26-2-1, 24 KOs) has been inactive since a highly disputed decision loss to Jean-Marc Mormeck in Mormeck’s home country of France in March of 2007. But Bell has no qualms about returning to Europe to take on Adamek in his home country.

“I’ve brought my judges with me in the form of my fists,” said Bell. “As for fighting in Europe, I love the fans there, they’ve treated me with a lot of love, and I expect nothing to change on Saturday. They respect quality boxing and that’s what I’ll give them this weekend.”

Bell-Adamek will be televised live in the United States on ESPN Classic beginning at 6pm ET.
