Team Chicago Boxing Club Seeking Funding

By Rick Fornuto

My Team Chicago Boxing Club was granted non for profit status a few years back. I have finally hooked up with a successful grant writer that has done WONDERS raising cash through various corporate donations.

We have a meeting scheduled very soon and I will try to keep you updated on our progress.

Our / my goal is to secure donations from these corporations and use the funds to sponsor our Illinois boxers at various nationwide tournaments throughout the year. The annual Ringside, Title, and the points accruing Womens Golden Gloves, and National PAL are just a few of the tournaments we are trying to send our kids to, fully compensated, hotel, plane fare, per diem, etc.

My first endeavor is to get a 15 seat van donated so our boxers can compete in any neighboring states' shows or tournaments--Ohio, Michigan, etc..

McDonalds contributes $100,000 per year to the Jessie White Tumblers. Our goal is to reach out to various corporations that regularly donate to worthy causes.

If you happen to know of any friends, acquaintances, that would be interested in helping our boys and girls out, please get back to me with their names and the corporations that employ them.

It's about time we got the financial backing to get these kids their national experience.
