Photo of the Day: Female Boxer Kristen Gearhart & Mother Train Together

CHICAGO--Kristen Gearhart, 19, and her mother, Mary Gearhart, relax after a workout at Chicago Boxing Club recently. An amateur boxer with a record of 9-2, Kristen recently fought and won a bout in downtown Chicago against one Renee Jaquez.
Of her bout versus Jaquez, Gearhart emails, "It did go well and went the full three rounds. It was a good fight and I give the girl a lot of props for her performance."
She continues: "And about the photo of me and Moms, she gives me all the support in the world in boxing, and she, herself, even comes to the gym to do a couple rounds of mitts and watch me spar. I love her to death and really appreciate her caring so much about me and boxing."
Kristen plans on fighting in the upcoming National Golden Gloves tournament in Hollywood, Florida.
