In the Main Event for the evening, Gary's Own Undefeated NABC World Champion "Merciless" Mary McGee (14-0, 8 KO's) looks to face the rugged Tana Gallegos (4-8, 2 KO's) of Mexico. In the Co-Main Event Gary's Own Jermaine "Too Sweet" White (16-3, 8 KO's) returns to action after his spectaculor win over cross-town rival Ruben Galvan. He will face "Red Hot" Robert Frankel (22-9, 4 KO's). In a special attraction bout Undefeated Heavyweight Michael Parker (5-0, 4 KO's) puts his perfect record on the line facing his toughest opponent to date when he steps in the ring with the "Irishman" Scott Conner (11-4, 8 KO's). Rounding out the fight card will be hard hitting undefeated Prospect Ed Ochoa (4-0, 4 KO's) and female featherweight Evette Collazo (3-0, 2 KO's) both will be looking to keep their winning streaks intact. Also, the newest member of Team One In A Million, Josh Crouch looks to impress for his Pro Debut.
Continuing the same fashion of "first times" for events One In A Million, Inc. CEO Octavius James announced today that One In A Million has a surprise of it's own for fans. James said, "This year, this month has significant meaning to myself and the rest of Team One In A Million, this month signifies our five year anniversary of our Live Professional Boxing Series in Northwest Indiana. Without the continued support of our loyal fans this show and the every show since our first June 13, 2003 fight card would not have been possible."
To show his appreciation for the years of continuous support of One In A Million fans James said, "First, we are going to bring an amazing show August 2nd with a historical Title Fight to a venue which has never had boxing, and to top it off we are having a Fireworks Show for the fans right after the main event. The second thing we are going to do for our fans is something we have never done before. For the August 2nd "Steelyard Brawl" I am cutting our General Admission tickets in half! Fans of all ages will have an opportunity to watch Championship Boxing at the beautiful Railcats Stadium for only $15.00. This is our way of saying thank you to the best boxing fans around. We look forward to an exciting night of boxing and I personally can't wait to say thank you in person to all the fans at the event."
