Tomasz Adamek at JABB Boxing Gym in Chicago

CHICAGO, IL (July 9, 2008) Following his public workout on Tuesday afternoon at JABB Boxing Gym in Chicago, #1 IBF Cruiserweight Mandatory Tomasz Adamek declared himself “more than ready for battle” heading into his ESPN2 televised Friday night showdown with Gary “THE PITBULL” Gomez at The Aragon Ballroom.

Said Adamek ‘I’ve trained well and I’m prepared to put on a great performance in front of the huge Polish crowd on Friday night.”

Adamek wanted to remind the thousands of Polish fans who have attended his two previous "Fight of the Year" battles against Paul Briggs in Chicago to once again bring their Polish flags to the fight.

“It means a great deal to me to see the flag of Poland waved by my fans living in Chicago . It was a very inspirational sight at the United Center and Allstate Arena and I look forward to seeing it once against this Friday night at the Aragon Ballroom.”

Advance tickets to THE RETURN OF THE POLISH WARRIOR, presented by Kathy Duva’s Main Events and Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions can be obtained through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com or 312-559-1212).

The Aragon Ballroom is located at 1106 W. Lawrence Ave. , adjacent to the corner of Broadway and Lawrence. Doors for this event will open at 6:30pm with the first bell at 7:15pm.
