"Steel Yard Brawl" Fighters Participate In Puerto Rican Day Parade Sunday!
Press Release
The parade kicks off at noon at 152nd street and Indianapolis Blvd. The Northwest Indiana Puerto Rican Parade is a region tradition where thousands of people gather to celebrate the Puerto Rican culture. Fans are encouraged to line the streets early to get a view of both Ochoa and Collazo who are quickly making their way up the boxing ladder. The two OIAM superstars in training will be thrilled to get away from training to say hello to the thousands of parade goers this Sunday.
Ed Ochoa has started his career off with a bang winning his first 4 fights by knockout. The 26-year old Hobart native has shown a strong commitment to utilizing all the amazing tools he possesses every single fight. During his first four fights, Ed has displayed his strong boxer-puncher background in the ring working the jab early in fights and finishing opponents with crushing power punches. Ed has promised to put on a show for all of the fans on August 2nd at the USS Steelyard. Although he is of Mexican descent, Ed Ochoa is ecstatic to be a part of the Northwest Indiana Puerto Rican Parade this Sunday.
Like Ed Ochoa, Evette Collazo has had an extremely successful start to her young career compiling a 3-0 record. At only 20-years old, the Chicago native is primed to follow in the footsteps of fellow One In A Million female boxing sensation "Merciless" Mary McGee. Evette has shown a tremendous amount of maturity in the ring exposing her opponents' weaknesses and tactically wearing them down. The young featherweight's technical prowess is only matched by her strong warrior mentality. She will carry this warrior mentality inside the ring on August 2nd at the USS Steelyard. Being of Puerto Rican descent, Evette will be looking to immerse herself in every part of the Northwest Indiana Puerto Rican Parade this weekend.
