Friday Night Rumble -- IBA Heavyweight Title Fight on August 29th!

On August 29, 2008, the sold out Friday Night Rumble at the Civic Center in Laredo, Texas, 2,500 ravenous boxing fans will pack the venue to watch their local favorite Hector “Hurricane” Ferreyro challenge for the IBA Latin Americas heavyweight title.
Ferreyro, the former Texas and IBO/USBO heavyweight champion, will be taking on the “Psycho Monster” Osvaldo Martinez. The bout is scheduled for ten rounds. On the under card, a boxing legacy will make his pro debut as nineteen-year-old Rodolfo “La Cobrita” Gomez, the nephew of Manuel “Shotgun” Gomez and the son of Rodolfo “La Cobra” Gomez”, will be taking on Jose Reyes in a four round bout. Another notable fighter making his debut is former United States Armed Forces soldier/amateur boxer Robert “Nighthawk” Luna, who will be taking on Robert Torres in a four-round fight. The event is being promoted by Los Dos Laredos Boxing Productions in association with Recon Garza Promotions. The fight card is as follows:
