Press Conference Quotes

Peter Quillin: “This is my third charity fight; I may change my name from ‘Kid Chocolate’ to ‘Kid Charity.’ I represent Cuba and America, proudly. I’m coming to win; he’s coming to win – it’s going to be a great fight. I’m an entertainer here to showcase my talent in front of the fans.”

Sam Hill: “I’m a police sergeant and have been a policeman (in St. Louis) 14 years. Boxing is something I love and I started in 1992. I come to win, come to fight, no matter if I’m fighting a champion, former champion or a young lion like the guy in the ring tomorrow night. I’m coming to fight, Mr. Kid Chocolate.”

Ronald Hearns: “I’m very excited to be part of this Manchester show. I’m honored to be part of this charity and I’m excited to get another victory.”

Danny O’Connor: “I had a chance to go to the Olympic Games. It was a great experience but a bit of a tease. I was an alternate and got to watch a lot of fights, but I didn’t fight. I’m fully ready for this fight, mentally and physically. I’m excited to fight in Manchester in front of family and friends. I’m honored to fight my first fight here.”
