CHICAGO, September 17, 2008 -- Undefeated light heavyweight prospect Cedric Agnew has been added to the huge “LIBERTY” card this Friday night, September 19th at Cicero Stadium, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions.

The 21 year old Agnew, 8-0 with four knockouts, will face off against Terrance Smith, 5-7-2 (3KO's) of Joplin, Missouri, in a six round bout.

Said Pesoli, “We’re very happy to have Cedric on the card. He’s fought twice before on our shows and has been very impressive both times. He’s got a strong local following as he was born and raised here and had a terrific amateur career before turning pro last year.”

Agnew turned professional with a second round knockout of Clark Williams on January 13, 2007 in Lafayette, Indiana. As an amateur, Agnew won the 2003 World Junior Olympic title, the 2004 US National Under-19 Championships and was a two time Chicago Golden Gloves Champion concluding his stellar amateur career with a record of 90-10.

Most recently, Agnew won the WBC Continental Americas Title with a ten round unanimous decision win over Rayco Saunders in Dallas, Texas on May 1, 2008.

In his last bout at Cicero Stadium, Agnew won a four round unanimous decision over Lucas St. Clair on October 19, 2007.

Advance tickets for the stacked seven bout “ LIBERTY ” card, presented along with Budweiser, TCF Bank, Jack Daniels and EL Jimador Tequila, are on sale in advance by calling the 8 Count Productions office at 312-226-5800. Cicero Stadium is located at 1909 S. Laramie . Doors for this event will open at 7pm with the first bell scheduled for 8pm.

Ramon Montano vs. Mike Gonzalez, eight rounds, junior welterweights

Luciano Perez vs. Devin Lopez, six rounds, junior middleweights

Cedric Agnew vs. Terrance Smith, six rounds, light heavyweights

Gerald Taylor vs. Jeffrey Osborne Jr., six rounds, super middleweights

Noe Perez vs. Nick Arellano, four rounds, junior lightweights

Danny Williams vs. Mike Maley, four rounds, junior lightweights

Miguel Angel Figueroa vs. Jeff Curran, four rounds, lightweights

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be noted boxing ring announcer Thomas Treiber.
