Jimmy Cambell vs. Danny Jacobs Delayed!
Bout postponed to November 8th or December 6th due to HBO programming

Press Release

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ -- Golden Boy Promotions recently changed the date of the Jimmy Campbell vs. Danny Jacobs bout and committed to make the fight either on the Undercard of Roy Jones vs. Joe Calzaghe on Nov. 8th in Madison Square Garden or on the undercard of Oscar DeLaHoya vs. Manny Pacquio December 6th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas due to a "programming conflict" with HBO.

" It's upsetting as I have been training for two months in a spartan type way to fight one of the best middleweight prospects in the world", stated Campbell. " I understand it is no fault of the promotional company and am pleased that they compensated me and are giving me another opportunity in November or December."

"Eric Gomez, the matchmaker with Goldenboy Promotions has given us his word that Jimmy will have another opportunity on one of the above dates and was very apologetic and stated that the television executive at HBO requested the change. I know many local sports bars and fans had planned on ordering the fight via PPV and we were planning parties around the event. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope this reaches all of Jimmy's supportive fans in time", stated Jen Childers Campbell, Jimmy's wife and manager.
