CHICAGO, October 28 -- Friday, November 21st, Richie Boy Entertainment (RBE) will present “Double Down,” an evening of championship boxing at The Venue, Horseshoe Casino’s spectacular new entertainment facility, located just 20 minutes from Chicago. The first boxing event presented at Horseshoe Hammond since the new $500 million casino was built, the action-packed card includes ten bouts with three titles at stake and a special appearance by boxing legend Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini.

Richard “Richie” Parrillo Jr., President of RBE, will celebrate the launch of his boxing promotional company by making a $10,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago and a $10,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana. In addition, RBE will donate a portion of the event’s ticket sales to both Boys & Girls Clubs.

“We have always been committed to giving back to our community and feel strongly about the good work the Boys & Girls Clubs do across the country,” said Parrillo. “RBE intends to grow our boxing promotional business right here in this region, so I feel a personal responsibility, and privilege, to support the local Boys & Girls Clubs. The programs provided by these clubs truly make a positive impact on the lives of our children,” he added.

“Richie’s donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs is typical of his ‘ lead by example’ character and I’m happy to be at the match to lend my name and support to his event,” said Mancini.

In the evening’s main event, Eric Mitchell (22-4-1, 11 KOs) faces Danny Perez (33-5, 17 KOs) in a 12-round battle for the USBA and NABO junior middleweight championship titles. Mitchell, one-half of Philadelphia’s “Fighting Mitchell Twins,” is on a six-fight win streak since dropping a 10-round unanimous decision to former world champion Ricardo Mayorga at Madison Square Garden.

Just last month, Eric’s opponent, Danny Perez, won a unanimous decision over highly touted Julio Cesar Garcia of Mexico on the Joel Casamayor vs. Juan Manuel Marquez pay-per-view telecast from Las Vegas. Perez, a tough-as-nails Mexican fighter out of San Diego, holds wins over Marcos Primera and Jose Luis Zertuche. In June of 1999, Perez dropped Antonio Margarito in round one of an eight round bout, but lost a split decision by scores of 76-75 | 74-77 | 75-76. Three years later, Perez came up short in the rematch, losing a unanimous decision to Margarito for the WBO welterweight championship.

In the evening’s co-main event, Eric Mitchell’s identical twin brother, Aaron (26-1-1, 21 KOs), faces Delray Raines (14-4, 9 KOs) from Arkansas for the NABO middleweight championship. Aaron Mitchell has won his last 14 consecutive fights by knock out including one retirement.

Neither Mitchell brother nor Danny Perez has ever lost a bout by knock out.

Other featured fighters include Don King promoted heavyweight prospect Carl Davis (12-2, 9 KOs) of Chicago; former Junior Olympic World Champion and undefeated light heavyweight prospect Cedric Agnew (9-0, 4 KOs) of Chicago Heights; undefeated featherweight sensation Gianapiero Contestabil of Avezzano, Italy (11-0, 6); and, making his professional debut at middleweight, Eli Augustam, a 2008 Olympian from Haiti who most recently served as a sparring partner for living legend Bernard Hopkins as he prepared for his recent spectacular drubbing of Kelly Pavlik.

More details about “ Double Down” and Richie Boy Entertainment will be released this week.

Tickets are available for $200 VIP Ringside, $150 Ringside, $80 Main Floor and $40 Mezzanine from any Ticket Master location or from The Venue’s box office (219/473-6060).

Horseshoe Casino Hammond is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Chicago. From the Skyway, simply exit at Indianapolis Blvd.
