Katie Klinefelter Wins Unanimous Decision!

COCKEYSVILLE, MD, October 31, 2008 -- Former amateur sensation Katy Klinefelter improved to 2-0 last night with an easy four round decision win over pro debuting Jasica Rojo of Tucson, Arizona.. The 21 year old Iowa City native used sharp right hands and a steady jab throughout the fight against the game Rojo in the co-main event of the Jonathan Ogden Foundation Charity Boxing show last night.
The senior at the University of Iowa swept the three judges scorecards by scores of 40-36 on each card.
Said Klinefelter, “I was very happy with my performance. We’ve worked on a lot of new things in the gym, especially my defense and that really worked well for me tonight.” Klinefelter is expected to be back in the ring in the near future with details to be announced shortly.
Formed in early 2008, the Las Vegas based TKO Boxing Promotions stable includes; middleweights Bastie "THE BEAST" Samir and James Countryman, junior middleweight Anthony Thompson, lightweights Rolando Reyes, Raul Tovar and Terrence Crawford, the sister team of Katie and Emily Klinefelter, featherweight Carney Bowman, super bantamweight Rafael Valenzuela and junior flyweight Austreberto Juarez.
