Promoter Cameron Parks' Rock Solid Boxing marks its Winter return in Houston at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Reliant on Thursday, January 15th in a six bout card that promises professional boxing drama and violence at its peak.
Texas Heavyweight Champion "Mean" Gene Hill (15-0, 13 KO's) headlines the big show and has guaranteed his many friends and fans in Galveston and Harris counties a blood curdling knockout in the Main Event.
The young Dickinson banger is a go for broke action fighter that always gives the local fight fans all their money's worth and then some as his knockout ratio is amongst the very best in the nation.
Undefeated all action featherweight Crystal "Choo Choo" Delgado (7-0, 1 KO) is also slated to appear on the card, and as every Houston boxing fan knows, she is a non-stop, whirlwind puncher that fights an entire three minutes of each and every round.
Local welterweight favorite Jose "Tapita" Gutierrez (11-5, 8 KO's) looks to get back into the winning column after dropping a heated battle his last time out of the starting blocks, and the Jay Johns trained fighter is determined to get back on the winning track come the 15th.
Super Middleweight Willie "Dynamite" Edwards (4-0, 1 KO) is going to be seeking his second knockout as a pro when he climbs through the ring ropes into the squared circle, and he is determined to get his scalp in front of the big audience.
Former Texas Golden Glove Champion Omar Henry (1-0, 1 KO) makes his Rock Solid debut, and this is one young hitter that certainly bears keeping a close eye on as he fights his way up through the fistic ranks.
Managed by Jay Johns and trained by the great Ronnie Shields, the wicked hitting Henry wowed the Bayou City boxing crowd this past summer with a brutal knockout in his pro debut, and looks to electrify the boxing beat once again here.
