Jimmy Holmes Beats Dowdy in Rematch!

Leave it to One In a Million Boxing, Inc. to heat things up for the Region when the weather outside creeps toward the zero. Another quality promotion for Octavius James, as stable favorites Jimmy Holmes, Ed Ochoa, and Mary McGee showed the capacity Radisson crowd just how much Merrillville loves boxing.
The first fight of the night saw Marcus Thompkins pound out a dominant unanimous decision (40-36) over game but overmatched Danny Schlienz in a super-lightweight bout. Thompkins used his superior speed and ring generalship to rack up the points, improving his ring record to 3-0.
