Coming Up—West Portland Amateur Tournament

On Saturday and Sunday, February 28 and March 1, 2009, the West Portland Boxing Team will host its annual event, the Fred Enslow Memorial Tournament. Amateur clubs from all over the Pacific Northwest will participate. Bouts start at 1pm on Saturday the 28th, and again at 7pm. Sunday’s championship bouts will begin at noon. Tickets are available at the door, and the public is welcome to attend and watch the action.
The West Portland Boxing Team’s home is part of the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, and is located at the Garden Home Recreation Center, 7475 SW Oleson Road.
The team works out Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 6 to 8pm. Anyone interested in boxing is invited to drop by during regular team hours, or call (503) 718-7050 for more information.
