Lennon and Rosenberg to handle the mike

New York, NY -Renowned Jimmy Lennon, Jr. and WFAN and "Imus in the Morning" sportscaster Sid Rosenberg will serve as ring announcers for Duva Boxing's Heavyweight Collision at Madison Square Garden tonight, it was announced Thursday by promoter Dino Duva.

Lennon will handle the microphone for the main event and co-featured bouts, headlined by heavyweights Vitali Klitschko vs. Kirk Johnson, and "Baby" Joe Mesi vs. Monte Barrett. Both fights will be televised live on HBO. Brooklyn product Rosenberg will appropriately handle the locally stocked under card featuring Brooklyn's Paulie Malignaggi, Riverdale's Elvir Miriqi, New York City's Victor Paz and Edgar Santana, Patterson's Kendall Holt and Antonio Espinoza of West New York, NJ.

This will be Rosenberg's first ring appearance since he was thrashed by "Imus in the Morning" producer Bernard McGuirk in a charity bout at Chelsea Piers earlier this year. "This should be a lot safer," said Rosenberg.

Teddy Atlas, the ESPN/2 commentator who trained Rosenberg for his fight, will be in Muriqi's corner for his bout against Tom Reid, hopes to have more success on Saturday than in Rosenberg's ill-fated performance. Muriqi is 27-1 with 22 KOs.

This is the sort of "who gives a shit" press release that i can live without!

Other than JD Vena -- does anyone care about ring annoncers?
