FRED ENSLOW MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT RESULTS Ringside physicians, Dr. Harry Irvine and Dr. Louis Rios.Referees: Rory Baarstad, Dave Hagen, Louis Jackbony, Ken Miller, Gerald Smith. Coach Bill Meartz of the West Portland Boxing Club has been organizing this popular two-day tournament every year for a long time. This years event was the biggest yet with more than a dozen teams participating from California to Anchorage, Alaska, as well as Washington, Idaho and Oregon. The 134 boxers included 19 women and the three separate shows over Saturday and Sunday each included dozens of bouts. The crowd in the Garden Home Rec Center auditorium was big, well-informed and enthusiastic all the way.
