MILWAUKEE, WI, November 12, 2005 – Under the bright lights of the United, popular Chicago Middleweight fighter, David “The Weezel” Estrada, stopped one Tyrone Mack in the second round.

With this win, Estrada now stands at 9-4-0 with 7 knockouts, while Tyrone Mack falls to 4-39-0 and 3 knockouts.

Commenting about the fight on his ride home, he had the following to say:

The guy came to fight. He threw punches from different angles. He came pretty wild and I just kept my composure.

He came to fight, like I said. First round I was feeling him out, taking my time. I’m not going to go wild and stuff. He was punching and holding. Sloppy fighters make me look sloppy. He was holding onto me because he felt my power and was spooked.

It was a second round knockout. And that was it. I dropped him one time. It was a left uppercut. My coach, Jorge Hernandez said, ‘Take him out. Fighters like that can make you hurt.’ I didn’t’ want to get cut.

My punches were a lot harder [than his]. My jabs were stinging, I hurt him to the body. It’s a win, it geTs me back on the winning column.

My sparring sessions were harder than this. I got more of a sweat doing my pad work today!

We’ll get back to the gym Monday because this wasn’t anything. I mean, YOU could knock this guy out! It’s just a win. It doesn’t do anything for me. It’s a win, it’s a “W” and it’s a payday. I’ve been in with a lot of hard fights. This is the first bum I’ve fought. Jorge says, ‘It’s a break.’

We look for bigger and better things. Maybe good management will help. Someone who’s slowly going to move me up, bring me up just right, eventually fighting the ‘A’ fighters. You crawl before you walk.

We’ll just get back to the gym and see what happens.
