She defeated Missouri's Angela Turner in the semis and Texas' Vanessa Juarez in the final. This marks Klinefelter's 10th national title in a career in which she has won 41 boxing matches. After moving up in weight from 110 pounds to 119 pounds, this year Klinefelter has also won the Ringside World Championships and National PAL. Klinefelter is currently a senior at the University of Iowa majoring in marketing and Spanish. She is trained by Adam Pollack at Gold's Gym in Coralville.
