New England Ringside Promotions signs Chris Traietti

WOBURN, Mass. – Westfield State College student Chris Traietti (2-0, 1 KO), of Quincy (MA), has signed a promotional contract with New England Ringside Promotions, president Rick Brutti announced today."He's our No. 1 one draft pick," Brutti said. "We believe he's one of the top prospects in New England. Chris represents the type fighter we want to build our stable around. We're looking to sign a mix of veterans and young up-and-comers."

Traietti, who also is an Airman in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, is a super middleweight prospect. His next fight will be February 4 in Boston against TBA on "Super Brawl: The Battle of Boston," headlined by unbeaten middleweight sensation "Ireland's" John Duddy (14-0, 13 KOs). "I'm really excited," Traietti remarked. "This opportunity is going to help me break through and show people what I can do. New England Ringside is going to put me in the ring and give me some exposure. I'll do the rest. I'm going to open a lot of eyes in New England for the next few years." Belarus-born junior middleweight Yuri Foreman (19-0, 7 KOs), rated No. 29 by the WBC, is scheduled to fight in the 10-round co-feature.
