8 Count Presents 'Ring of Fire' at Cicero Stadium Friday Jan. 27th!

CICERO, IL - Coming off an outstanding evening of professional boxing this past Friday night which featured huge Sho-Box televised wins by hot prospects Joel Julio and Raul Martinez as well as victories by local favorites "Macho" Miguel Hernandez, Omar Reyes and Reynaldo Reyes, Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions, home of the "Best in Chicago Boxing Series," is proud to announce details of its next action packed card. Check the Sho-Box website (sho.com) for future airings of the lar wins by Julio and Martinez.

On Friday, January 27th, 8 Count Productions and Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions along with Miller Lite and TCF Bank present “Ring of Fire," an internationally televised evening of professional boxing headlined by a twelve round junior middleweight showdown between Marco Antonio Rubio, 32-2-1 (29KO’s) of Gomez Palacio, Mexico and Russian Aslanbek Kodzoev, 16-1-1 (11KO’s) fighting out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The co-main event will feature a ten round featherweight bout between Chicagoland fan favorite Jose Andres Hernandez, 19-2 (13KO’s) and Antonio Escalante, 10-1, (7KO’s) of El Paso, TX.

The huge undercard will include bouts featuring junior middleweight Jorge Gonzalez, lightweight Mike Gonzalez, super bantamweight Francisco Rodriguez, featherweight Barbaro Zepeda and junior welterweight Jose Manual Ortega.

Cicero Stadium is located at 1909 S. Laramie, doors for this event will open at 6pm, with the first bell scheduled for 7pm. Further information will be announced later this week. Tickets, starting at $30 can be purchased in advance by calling 312-226-5800.
