Cotto-Malignaggi Is 'All Set' According to Manager
By J.D. Vena

Tewksbury, MA – According to Sal Lonano, the manager of Brooklyn’s Paul “The Magic Man” Malignaggi, should undefeated Miguel Cotto emerge victorious over Italian Gianluca Branco this Saturday night in his native Puerto Rico, Cotto will meet Malignaggi on June 10th for Cotto’s WBO jr. welterweight title. The bout, which will likely take place at Madison Square Garden has been speculated since Malignaggi called out Cotto immediately following his previous victory over Donald Camarena two weeks ago at Foxwoods in Connecticut.

“We just made it today,” said Lonano yesterday at his tanning salon. “Paulie is so excited for this fight because he knows he can beat him and it’s a big fight.”

Malignaggi’s victory over Camarena improved his record to 21-0 with 5 KO’s and in winning a 10-round shutout decision, the performance was considered the most impressive of his young career. It was his first fight since August when a broken right hand prompted a third hand surgery in September.

“Believe me,” assured Lonano. “His hand is better than it ever was and he is going to beat Cotto easily.”
