Inkin headlines Eurosport broadcast, Graf headlines internet webcast!

The contest between Graf and Hernandez, as well as four other fights, will be broadcast live on www.boxing.de starting at 6 PM CET. Eurosport will broadcast at 9 PM.

STUTTGART – The Spotlight Boxing gala on Tuesday (28.02.) at Alte Reithalle of Stuttgart will be highlighted by an international top fight at super middleweight.

During a Eurosport live broadcast Denis Inkin, 26-0 (21), undefeated Russian off the Universum boxing stable, will take on South African Peter Mashamaite, 14-4-1 (7), at about 22:00 CET.

Trainer Magomed Schaburow who is working with Inkin for eight months is convinced his charge will score another quick victory.

"Denis can punch real hard. He is cold as ice in the ring and very evenly tempered”, Schaburow said. “Prior to the fight he shows very good nerves. A fighter like him is a gift to a boxing coach.”

It will be the second time Inkin fought on a Spotlight event after he scored a fifth round knockout on December 13 over Valentin Antonio Ochoa in Sölden, Austria.

"We don’t know much about this South African fighter. We had a look on a tape. I’m sure it won’t take long until he put this guy down."

The 28-year-old Inkin is coming from Novosibirsk and is a former officer of the Russian tank troops. During his service he studied sport pedagogics, graduated and collected amateur boxing titles. Among many others Inkin won the military Olympics in 1999.

In private Inkin is regarded as a reluctant and quiet man and loving family father. In the ring he is an ice-cold knockouter.

"Denis didn’t come to Germany just for the money. He sais that he could have made money with boxing in Russia as well. He came because he wants to establish something great – he wants to become professional world champion”, Schaburow said about his charge who beside his Russian mother tongue speaks no other language.

In the WBO rankings Denis Inkin is ranked 5th. The WBA lists him at number 14.

“I’m sure that Denis is a match for any top fighter in the super middleweight division”, Schaburow believes. “We would appreciate to get a title shot right now. Denis is ready and physically strong enough. He has almost 30 fights. There is no more tune up. He is pro for a long time and should get his chance now. Either for the European championship or for a world title.”
